Flyscreen Repairs & Mesh Replacement Brisbane

Torn insect mesh does not always mean replacing the entire screen. iHOME offers window and door flyscreen re-meshing, replacement screens and pet-mesh options across Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast. We first check whether the existing frame is suitable to reuse.

Window flyscreen mesh replacement

If the mesh is torn, loose or weathered but the frame is sound, re-meshing may be a suitable option. Send a clear photo of the complete screen and a close-up of the damaged area. Include approximate width and height and the number of windows that need attention.

We check the frame condition and the way the screen fits the window. A bent frame, damaged corner or poor fit may call for a replacement screen rather than mesh alone. The recommended scope is confirmed after we review the opening.

Re-meshing hinged and sliding flyscreen doors

A door screen is used and handled differently from a fixed window screen. Let us know whether yours is hinged or sliding, and send a photo of the full door including its edges. Mention if it also catches, sags or fails to close so we can assess whether the job involves more than mesh.

A new mesh panel will not by itself correct a damaged frame or an incompatible sliding-door track. Where the existing screen is no longer suitable, we can discuss a made-to-measure replacement instead.

Pet mesh or standard insect mesh?

Tell us if a cat or dog has damaged the existing mesh. Pet mesh is an option for homes where screens need to cope with pet contact, but the choice must suit the frame and how the opening is used. We can discuss visibility, airflow and your priorities before quoting.

Insect mesh, pet mesh and security mesh serve different purposes. Replacing ordinary flyscreen mesh does not turn an existing flyscreen into a security screen. If security is your goal, ask us about a complete door or window screen system.

What affects flyscreen repair cost?

The number and size of screens, selected mesh and condition of the frames affect the scope and price. A group of window screens and a large sliding door are different jobs. Photos let us discuss an initial range without guessing whether your frames can be reused.

List each opening in the online quotation form and note “re-meshing existing screens” in the message. Email condition photos with your quote reference, and include your suburb so we can discuss site access. Final scope and pricing are confirmed after the necessary checks.

Questions before you request a quote

Can you reuse my existing flyscreen frames?

Possibly. We check the frame, corners and fit before recommending re-meshing. Damaged or poorly fitting frames may need replacement.

Do you replace mesh on sliding flyscreen doors?

Yes, subject to the condition and suitability of the door frame. Tell us about any closing or track problems as well as the mesh damage.

Can I request pet mesh instead?

Yes. Include that preference in your enquiry and we will check whether it suits the existing screen or a replacement frame.
